Second Pair of Blog Comments

You can find the link to the second pair of Blog Comments on the Breen and Bouton articles here. These are due before class on Monday, October 26, 2009. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU NEED TO LABEL YOUR COMMENTS AS #3 AND #4 along with your name. So at the end of the term each of you will have three Blog Assignments on your student page and six Comments each on other pages. If you have any questions or problems accessing the assignment, please let me know immediately.

Instructions for Putting Blog Assignment #2 on Your Page

Sorry I didn’t get a chance to review this in class. But all you have to do is click on your student page, look up at the top of this window and see “Edit Page,” and click on that. This will open the editing window and you will see your previous assignment. Scroll down to the bottom of that assignment, and paste in your second assignment. Try to not erase the first one, although it’s okay if you do. Ideally, at the end of the class, all three of your assignments will be on the page. I hope this makes sense — if you can’t figure it out, email me the assignment and I will paste it to your page.

Reading & Discussion Schedule, Oct. 5 thru Oct. 9

This week we will conclude our discussion of the society, economy, and culture of the eighteenth-century British American colonies and turn to the European rivalries and wars in North America, particularly the French and Indian (or Seven Years’ War), that laid the foundation for the Revolution. You should have read Chapter 5 in Out of Many and should be working on Chapter 6 this week. Wednesday, October 7, we will hold a class discussion of the primary documents in Chapter 4 of Constructing the American Past, so make you sure you have read it and the other documents I have provided by that date.
